The early signs of oral cancer can be easily mistaken for other conditions, like mouth ulcers. As such, it’s important that clinicians regularly conduct examinations to monitor the health of the mouth, and become more confident identifying early symptoms of mouth cancer. If a clinician spots a suspicious lesion, the BeVigilant™ OraFusion™ system can be used to identify the presence of biomarkers associated with oral cancer, producing a result in 15 minutes or less. The results of the test can then be used to inform referral for specialist care.
