This year, the BACD is proud to have supported the President’s Charity, SmileStar. This volunteer-based charity offers high quality dental treatment free-of-charge to less fortunate individuals in Africa and India, and to ex-Royal Marines in the UK.
The Academy would like to thank its members for their generous donations to the charity. Immediate Past President, Dr Rahul Doshi, says: “I’m pleased that we were able to raise £5,000 for SmileStar, which will go towards providing medication to vulnerable people in Africa.
“Moreover, some of our members have volunteered to go on trips abroad next year to help disadvantaged communities, while others have provided ex-Royal Marines in the UK with free dental care.”
