Reveal Clear Aligners – a convenient solution for patients looking to enhance their smile, with digitalisation supporting dental professionals for individual treatment and precision

Reveal® Clear Aligners (Reveal) are designed with patient comfort and aesthetics in mind. Reveal aligners are more transparent than other aligners in the market, feature a smooth scalloped edge that enhances patient comfort, and reduce or eliminate the need for attachments in mild to moderate cases. For general practitioners, Reveal easily integrates into the dental practice workflow.

EdgeEndo® – bringing leading-edge endodontic products to the industry

EdgeEndo will showcase its portfolio of high-quality products, including NiTi files, known for their strength and flexibility, its carrier-based obturators, such as EdgeCore and EdgeFill, and its paper points. The files and obturators from EdgeEndo are compatible with most existing endodontic motors and obturator ovens, and are excellent alternatives to the current products in the market.

Sustainability in Dentistry

Michael Fahey, Commercial Director of Henry Schein in Australia, will host a session about sustainability entitled, “Partnering with Industry to support sustainable dentistry and reduce our footprint”, on Monday, 25 September 2023, at 04.30 p.m., as part of the main scientific programme2 of the Congress. The session will focus on emissions associated with procurement through manufacturing and distribution, as well as from within the practice through product use and wastage management. This session will help to elevate awareness of the environmental impacts and practical solutions can help to enhance sustainable clinical practices while following the current health and safety legislation and continuing to provide high-quality patient care.

Mr. Fahey will also participate in a session and panel interview to launch the “ADA Sustainability Resources.” 2 As the New South Wales President of the Australian Dental Industry Association, Mr. Fahey was a member of the Federal Australia Dental Association’s “Working Party on a Sustainable Dentistry Strategy” providing input into the formation of the ADA’s sustainability Resources.

Additionally, Henry Schein recently launched Practice Green, a global sustainability programme designed to encourage practitioners, practice teams, and dental laboratories to become more eco-friendly and to help empower the health care community to establish sustainable practices for a healthier planet. A selection of environmentally-friendly products and solutions falling within Practice Green will be available, as well as services and support to help create greener practices and enhance environmental sustainability efforts. These offerings will continuously expand, with new products, services, and solutions added.

Supporting Young Dentists

Henry Schein will also support the inaugural edition of the FDI Young Dentists Forum during the Congress on 27 September 2023 from 09.00 a.m. to 02.00 p.m. This event aims to gather young dentists from around the globe to learn about today’s hottest topics in dentistry, to learn about career development opportunities within the dental profession, and to network with practitioners attending the Congress from around the world.3

FDI Integrated Electronic Health Records Project

Henry Schein and FDI are collaborating on an initiative to advance Integrated Electronic Health Records (EHR) in Dentistry. Building upon the longitudinal data demonstrating a correlation between oral health and overall health, this project aims to identify and define the key fields of patient health records that best enable primary care dental and medical professionals to collaborate in improving overall care. Providing visibility to certain fields of a patient record between and among medical and dental providers can significantly enhance the overall quality of patient care and drive impactful research.4 As a global governing body based in Geneva, FDI is optimally suited to advise upon the baseline patient data necessary to empower interprofessional collaboration.
