Newcastle dental practice scores sponsorship deal with football club

Honour Health, a dental and skincare practice based in Newcastle, has began sponsoring a Jesmond football club. The practise is the most recent main kit sponsor of West Jesmond AFC, and will continue working together for the next three years.

Principal dentist of Honour Health, Onkar Dhayona, changed the practice’s name from Osborne Dental to better reflect the advanced range of dental and skin treatments on offer. The word ‘health’ focuses on the team’s mission to prevent dental disease and to improve patients’ health and wellbeing across the North East.

West Jesmond Amateur Football Club was founded in 2004, bringing together players from all walks of life through their shared love of the game.

Mr Dhanoya said: “We are thrilled to sponsor West Jesmond AFC and we look forward to supporting them over the coming seasons. Our new name reflects the fact that we are always working to improve patients’ health, and so we are very keen to support the local community in healthy pursuits and encourage people to get active.

“West Jesmond AFC is a perfect fit for us, as the club encourages local residents to enjoy playing ‘the beautiful game’ and keep fit, while our Honour Health strapline is ‘smile more – live life’, which we think ties in very well.”

The new kits form part of our new club identity, which includes a new badge and social media presence, and we are confident that with the support of Honour Health we will be able to push our club to the next level.

“We are definitely on the same wavelength as Honour Health, as we both want to promote ways to live a healthier life – and to have fun at the same time. We have had that mindset throughout our 14-year history and we are always happy to welcome new players to join us that share our philosophy.”
