Dental professionals came together for the Frank Taylor & Associates (FTA) annual Charity Golf Day, raising more than £4,500 for Alternatives, a charity providing emotional and practical support to people experiencing pregnancy-related challenges.

The event took place at Aldenham Golf & Country Club in Radlett, Hertfordshire, bringing together dental practice owners and colleagues from across the profession for a day of golf, networking, friendly competition and, most importantly, fundraising for a worthwhile cause.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Alternatives, with attendees also encouraged to support the charity through donations to its baby basket appeal.

The day saw some impressive golfing performances, with Jit Vaghela taking first place in the individual competition, followed by Andy Acton in second and Shilan Shah in third.

The winning team was Tony Peluso, Andrew Miscampbell, Mark Robinson and Matt Corbridge.

There were also prizes for some of the day’s standout shots, with Drew Acton taking the honours for Longest Drive, while Geoff Hawkins won Closest to the Pin.

As well as providing some friendly competition on the course, the event offered dental professionals the opportunity to step away from the demands of running a practice, meet colleagues from across the profession and strengthen relationships in a relaxed and informal setting.

FTA has supported dental practice owners to plan, value and achieve their perfect exit since 1988, and its annual Charity Golf Day has become an opportunity for the dental community to come together while supporting an important cause.

The fundraising total of more than £4,500 will help Alternatives continue its work supporting people experiencing pregnancy-related challenges, while the additional baby basket donations will provide practical support to those who need it.

FTA would like to thank everyone who took part in the event, supported the fundraising and helped make the day such a success.
