A recent charity padel event raised £1737 for Wells on Wheels, a charity that aims to break the wheel of poverty by the use of its water wheels freeing up time for young girls to now attend school.

The event, hosted by Frank Taylor & Associates and The Principals Club, took place at Rocket Padel in Beckton, and brought the dental community together with the idea to raise money and have some fun. Dental practice owners – twelve teams of two – entered the tournament with every penny of entry fees donated to charity.

Thanks to this strong turnout and the generosity of the dental community, the event raised £1,737 and a cheque was presented to Wells on Wheels on the day, marking the culmination of an event that organisers say reflects the values at the heart of both The Principals Club and Frank Taylor & Associates: community, connection, and supporting the people behind the profession.

Andy Acton, founder of Frank Taylor & Associates, said, “The inspiration for this event was to bring the dental community together outside of the surgery, to have fun and make some money for charity. What we didn’t anticipate was the level of competitiveness of the players, which added some extra spice for what was an incredible day!”
