mydentist, the UK’s largest dental care provider, has recently undertaken a merge and relocation of two of its practices in Bury, moving to a new large-scale practice at The Rock Shopping Centre following substantial investment of £2.2 million.

The new practice at The Rock Shopping Centre was officially opened on 3rd June 2026 by Practice Manager, Philippa Brierley and her team, marking a substantial enhancement for the 20,000 people mydentist treats within the community. Also in attendance, was Mayor Councillor Tahir Rafiq, who joined the celebrations to show his support, view the site, and meet the practice team.

The relocation of the mydentist practices at St Mary’s Place and Parsonage Street will merge to a new, modern site at The Rock. The new practice will offer 13 surgeries, with plans to increase to 17 surgeries in future. Patients can now benefit from a modern, state-of-the-art practice, a greater range of dental treatments and technology, as well as longer opening hours, patient parking, and improved wheelchair and disabled access.

The new merge and relocation also saw the recruitment of 16 new job roles, including dental clinicians, nurses and treatment coordinators. The new practice now boasts an experienced team of 50+, including dentists, dental nurses, reception staff, treatment co-ordinators and managers.

John Hudson, Property Director at mydentist, commented: “We’re thrilled to open the doors to our new Bury practice. The premises will not only offer improved facilities for our dedicated practice teams but also provide even more choice for our patients. The new practice includes a new training centre which enables us to support dentists in the early years of their career, allowing us to offer NHS dental services to even more patients in Bury.”

Christie Williams Area Development Manager for mydentist, Greater Manchester shared: “We’ve been working on this move for over 2 years to relocate to a more accessible site in Bury, so to see the new practice finally open is fantastic. With 13 modern surgeries and plans to expand to 17 in the future we now have much more choice for patients, and our brilliant, longstanding teams are benefitting from improved facilities and development opportunities. Our aim was to meet the needs of our patients and our team here in Bury now and in the future and feedback so far has been extremely positive.”

Philippa Brierley, Practice Manager at mydentist Bury, added: “The move to The Rock has substantially increased our dental surgery capacity and our team, which means more care can be delivered to the local community. We look forward to welcoming patients both old and new into the new practice.”

The new mydentist Bury practice offers a full range of treatments across three tiers of affordable dentistry – NHS dental care, myoptions private dental care and premium private dental care. The practice will offer myoptions affordable private check-ups and hygiene appointments through online booking, as well as a wide variety of cosmetic services, including whitening, teeth straightening, dental implants, smile makeover, facial aesthetics and composite bonding.
