Align Technology has reached a significant milestone: 1 million smiles created with Invisalign® clear aligners across the United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI).
Reaching one million Invisalign smiles in UKI represents one million individual patient journeys and reflects the long-term trust, partnership, community, and clinical excellence of Invisalign-trained doctors across the region.
The one-millionth Invisalign patient in the UKI is Molly, a 23-year-old from London, who has begun Invisalign treatment with Dr. Angela Auluck, a Specialist Orthodontist and Director of Dental Rooms (Wimbledon).

A milestone grounded in doctor leadership and patient stories
The 1M UKI Invisalign patient milestone will be celebrated through a series of doctor-led recognition moments, including at the Align Smile CoLab events beginning in June, designed to bring Invisalign-trained doctors together to connect, share insights and support practice growth. The milestone highlights doctors whose expertise and commitment have helped shape the journeys of the one million patients, whilst also contributing to a much broader global story: doctors have transformed nearly 23 million smiles worldwide.
Dr. Angela Auluck was certified as an Invisalign System trained doctor in September 2005 and has overseen nearly 1,000 Invisalign cases.
“For me, orthodontics is not just the clinical treatment and the clinical outcome – it’s helping patients gain the confidence to step into the next chapter of their lives,” said Dr. Angela Auluck, Specialist Orthodontist and Director of Dental Rooms. “I began using Invisalign aligners in 2005, and I’ve seen first-hand how clear aligner therapy – and the digital tools behind it – have evolved over time. To be treating Molly, the one-millionth UKI Invisalign patient, is a real honour. This milestone is a testament to the clinician community and the patients who place their trust in us every day.”
For Molly, the milestone reflects a very personal step in her own journey. When she began her first job after university, she started saving for orthodontic treatment as her first major investment in herself.
“I’ve always been self-conscious about my smile, so starting Invisalign treatment felt like doing something for me,” said Molly. “When I found out I was the one-millionth patient in the UK and Ireland, it made the decision feel even more special – and I’m really looking forward to being able to smile more confidently with the help of Dr. Auluck and my Invisalign treatment.”
Honouring UKI’s early Invisalign System adopters
Align will also recognise the long-standing UKI doctors who helped bring Invisalign treatment to the region from the earliest days of clear aligner offerings.
