Here is the full list of winners and finalists in each category of The Dental Awards 2026:

Best Outreach or Charity Initiative

Winner: Dr Angus Pringle

Highly Commended: The Magic Dentist

Commended:

  • Imogen Dental
  • Taylored Dental Care

Finalists:

  • Ali Lowe

This category always presents a large number of people who are striving to make a real difference.  They are all worthy of our praise and could all be winners.  The judges had the unenviable task to choose one so the one that had the edge was Dr Angus Pringle. Unfortunately, it was a personal tragedy that provided the springboard for his efforts, fundraising and speaking at conferences and events, being an advocate for mental wellbeing for the dental team.

Judge Amanda Ooaky added that the team deserves huge recognition for their work but question whether it is really a community outreach or charity initiative when it’s clearly a case of who they are and what they do.

Website and Digital Campaign of the Year

Winner: Bespoke Dental

Highly Commended: Serio Dental

Commended: The Dental Barns

Finalists:

  • The Dental Place Warwick

The competition is fierce in this category, and the judges were impressed by entrants making bold claims such as this one: ‘We are Bespoke Dental, Reading’s highest rated cosmetic dental clinic,’ which is backed up when you look at the number of 5* reviews to find that is exactly the case.  Clear and simple navigation, make it simple for patents to find the information they need.

National Smile Month Award – in association with the Oral Health Foundation

Winner: Community Dental Services CIC

This award recognises a dental team who have used a range of events and initiatives to effectively communicate the importance of maintaining good oral health to both their patients and to the wider community as part of the Oral health Foundation’s annual National Smile Month campaign.

A programme of community engagement activities in a wide variety of settings allowed for the CDS team to increase awareness and encourage positive behaviour change, supporting families and carers with practical and accessible advice.

Judge Amanda Oakey commented that the numbers of counties, events, individuals, conversations, communications, competitions and reach  were enough to show that CDS is a deserved receiver of the Dental Award for Smile Month. They took key oral health messages and shared them in an accessible, inclusive and engaging way, to a diverse population. They consistently exceed the estimations of what can be achieved by one organisation.

Technical Excellence Award in association with BACDT and CDTA to recognise both Dental Technicians and Clinical Dental Technicians.

Winner: Emma Allsopp

Highly Commended: Emily Pittard

The judges had a tricky job here, with James Neilson noting that both Emma and Emily demonstrated very high standards and excellence in their field and that it was incredibly hard to separate one from the other; they are both clearly masters of their specific areas of practice with a passion to share techniques and skills as published authors.

That said, Stephan Avetoom gave the edge to Emma based on her excellent presentation, and Hugo Sousa, while praising Emily on what he described as ‘an absolute powerhouse of custom-designed clinical documentation’, also gave Emma the nod based on the extraordinary depth, chronological documentation, and published quality of her specific case workflows.

Well done and many congratulations to Emma Allsopp!

Front of House/Receptionist Award

Winner: Ellen Nokes

Highly Commended: Jenine James-Pattison

Finalists:

  • Mary Holroyd
  • Alison Wardley
  • Daria Siemieniuk

In their feedback, the judges said that Ellen is exceptional. She continues to embrace further training and consistently offers a quality service for patients above and beyond the role – a natural communicator and vital part of the team.

Dental Nurse of the Year – in association with BADN

Winner: Adrien Chabaud

Highly Commended:

  • Kelly Hunter
  • Elizabeth Brumby

Commended:

  • Anjali Kale
  • Keischa Gonzales

Judges Preetee Hylton and Rebecca Silver explained that Adrien showed a true passion and desire for dental nursing, going above and beyond what is expected. His commitment to bettering himself and being proactive in the world of dentistry are key to why he won the award for dental nurse of the year.

Dental Hygienist of the Year – in association with BSDHT

Winner: Rhianna Clarke

Highly Commended:Gemma O’Callaghan

Commended: Rafina O’Brien

Finalists:

  • Sandy Kaur Khaira
  • Lauren Chipman

Rhianna impressed the judges with an excellent case study in which she took on a challenging patient with multiple considerations to be taken into account.

In addition, the judges noted that the competition was particularly fierce in the Dental Hygienist category this year, and that Rhianna won over some comprehensive submissions and engaging presentations that, in previous years, could have been named winner themselves.

Dental Therapist of the Year – in association with BADT

Congratulations to Imogen, who impressed judge Debbie Hemington with an excellent entry, demonstrating drive and ambition and breaking barriers. Dentist of the Year

Winner: Dr Chloe Harrington-Taylor

Dr Hodgson has demonstrated her commitment to enhancing patient experience and the outcome of care while maintaining her professional standards through the provision of evidence-based, high-quality dental care. Her commitment to delivering patient-centred care is evident.

The judges said it was clear that Martina runs a practice that is dedicated to make a difference to her patients’ lives as well as to her team’s professional development. Martina has made sure she also gives back to the professional community by mentoring and educating colleagues.

Highly Commended: Dr Sulaman Anwar

Commended: Meera Sunder

  • Nida Kamal
  • Dr Wajiha Basir

Dr Chloe Harrington-Taylor is a truly remarkable denstist, whose passion has shone through during The Dental Awards for several years. Practice of the Year

Winner: Hereford Dental & Implant Clinic

Highly Commended: Rock Dental

Commended: Crossbank Dental Care

Finalists:

  • Dentistry on the Clyde
  • Serio Dental

A very well-deserved award win for Hereford Dental & Implant Clinic. Judges Amit Patel and Anshu Sood were both impressed with Hereford Dental & Implant Clinic’s submission, which displayed a high level of clinical excellence supported by clinical cases and journal articles. Their team are clearly invested in the practice and patients, and this would appear reciprocated from the excellent reviews. On top of all of that, their community and charity initiatives are something they should be incredibly proud of.

Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists and winners!

Finalists and commended will receive their certificates shortly in the post, while winners will be invited to join judges and sponsors at a top London venue on Friday 3rd July 2026 to celebrate their victories in style, and to be presented with their trophies and certificates in person.
