Following the success of five thought-provoking online gatherings, the 6th Dental Care Professionals (DCP) Well-Being Advocates Round Table is going live and in person for the first time. The upcoming session will be held on Wednesday 28th May, 7–9 PM at The Yoga House, Tunbridge Wells, marking a new chapter in proactive well-being for the dental profession.

Hosted by Victoria Wilson and Claire Frisby, this special event is designed for all members of the dental team—from receptionists to hygienists, therapists, nurses, and dentists—creating a safe space to explore, share, and build tools for everyday mental and physical resilience.

This in-person gathering follows the momentum of the 5th Round Table, where Specialist Physiotherapist Conor Creedon challenged the profession to rethink back pain. He highlighted its deep links to:

  • Poor job satisfaction
  • Stress and depression
  • Inactivity and deconditioning
  • Sleep issues and lifestyle factors
  • The discussion emphasized prevention over treatment, encouraging professionals to take proactive steps such as improving cardiovascular fitness, managing BMI, and integrating daily movement into practice life.

The previous event closed with a guided breathwork session led by Victoria Wilson, underlining the powerful connection between breathing and stress management. Due to overwhelming interest, this 6th Round Table will further expand on breathwork and meditation, helping dental professionals find practical ways to reset and restore, even on their busiest days.

What to Expect on 28th May:

🧘‍♀️ Guided breathwork & meditation practices

🗣 Open discussion on well-being challenges in practice

🤝 Shared strategies to support teams & individuals

🌱 Space to reconnect with purpose, presence, and professional passion

Spaces are limited and expected to fill quickly.

“We’re creating a space where dental professionals can finally exhale,” said co-host Victoria Wilson. “Together, we’re breaking down the stigma around mental health in dentistry—and replacing it with support, connection, and everyday tools that make a difference.”  Let’s build healthy resilience together ❤️
