SprintRay – the only provider of a complete digital 3D printing ecosystem for dentists – is delighted to be going on tour in Europe and stops in London to demonstrate their latest innovation: the restorative printer MIDAS. The world’s first digital restoration press, Midas is a multitalented solution that delivers a wide range of devices with incredible accuracy and speed.

This tour will provide the perfect opportunity to discover the very latest generation of 3D printing equipment and materials available on the market. It will also enable dental professionals to engage with the products and renowned clinician in the field, Dr Robbie Hughes, allowing attendees to ask questions and share experiences for a superior learning experience.

Introducing the Midas Restoration Tour

The Midas Restoration Tour will take place in London on 10th April 2025, showcasing the interconnected digital restorative workflow made possible with SprintRay innovations. During the session, dental professionals will be invited to watch live demonstrations and even get hands-on with the equipment on display – which will include the new Midas 3D printer (more on that below). Exclusive event partner, Ivoclar, will also be showcasing the staining and glazing process, ensuring that the entire workflow is covered from start to finish.

Attendees will have the chance to ask questions of the experts during and after these workshops, to seek bespoke advice and learn from others’ experiences.

Truly connected

To ensure a truly end-to-end solution, the Midas Restoration Tour will be delivered by SprintRay in conjunction with Ivoclar. Combining cutting-edge technologies from each organisation, the Tour will highlight the entire restorative digital workflow.

Starting with an intraoral scanner, clinicians will experience how effortlessly it is to capture accurate data to commence the process. From these, anything from models to prosthetics and bite splints can be digitally designed and sent to SprintRay Midas for 3D printing. Ivoclar placement protocols can then be implemented, using the advanced bonding protocol for 3D printed restorations featuring Ivoclar’s Adhese® Universal Vivapen® and Variolink® Esthetic.

Throughout the workflow, AI-powered technology optimises integration, efficiency and accuracy for a patient-centric approach to dentistry.

Midas – a cut above the rest

The SprintRay Midas is the world’s first digital restoration press, presenting the smartest and simplest method of 3D printing dental restorations. The innovative Digital Press Stereolithography technology uses hydrodynamic principles to facilitate the use of lower viscosity resins, which significantly broadens material options. It also employs a 45 µm projector to deliver undistorted light to the print glass for maximum precision.

The benefits of Midas are multiple, but include fast and efficient integration with existing workflows. It makes highly affordable chairside workflows a reality and can even be utilised to print multiple restorations at once for unmatched convenience and efficiency.

Just as impressive as the quality and speed of workflow, is the ease of use. AI-driven technology streamlines the professional process by analysing uploaded scans to automatically identify margins, which can be confirmed and adjusted as needed. The crown design is then sent directly to Midas for printing – which is completed in under 10 minutes.
