Responding to the launch of the consultation on reform of NHS dentistry the British Dental Association Cymru has said it will be reaching out to dentists across Wales get the clearest picture from the frontline.
The professional body has previously accused the Welsh Government of ‘cooking the books’ on workforce numbers and funding.
Russell Gidney, Chair of the British Dental Association’s Welsh General Dental Practice Committee, said: “Jeremy Miles was right when he said dentistry faces its biggest changes in decades. The question now is whether these reforms are sufficient to end the crisis our patients face and halt the exodus of dentists from the NHS. We are committed to get the real perspective from those working on the frontline.”
