Dr Tanaka Kadiyo, Masters student at University College London, is a recipient of one of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) Scholarships for 2024. After being presented the award at the Institution of Engineering and Technology, London, he commented:

“I think it’s a big stepping stone for me to further my education in implant dentistry. Compared to the rest of dentistry, it feels a bit different – with plenty of new challenges – but it’s a real first step towards more confidence in exploring the sector further.

“It now gives me the opportunity to get more involved, and start putting the theory into practice. Having the mentorship and the support means I can hopefully start restoring implants, then take steps towards surgeries and placing them.

“Getting to meet members of the ADI at the Masterclass, including the old and new board, and the Next Gen committee was great. It’s good to talk about the experiences of those in the profession, see how their journey was, and ask many questions and get some tips.”

The ADI is committed to closing the gap between clinicians and academia, and you can learn more by contacting the team today.
