Dr Alex Teckkam and his team at Teckkam Dental Care recently undertook a project to update a dental treatment centre. They share their experience of the project, and of working with the team at Clark Dental:
“We were motivated to update the practice as the existing chair we had was nearly 30 years old, and had been repaired many times. Getting the parts needed to repair it was proving difficult and it was no longer cost-effective. Because of this, we decided that we needed to install a new dental chair which incorporated an X-ray unit.
“In order to prepare for the project, we communicated between Clark Dental and the contractors that removed our old chair and carried out some building work to ensure full safety regarding the X-ray unit. Clark Dental kindly stepped in and took over after the company we were originally dealing with went into administration shortly before we were due to start the project. Clark Dental efficiently managed the delivery and installation of the new treatment centre.
“All of the chairs in our practice are from Dentsply Sirona, so it was important for us to choose new equipment from them too. We decided on the Dentsply Sirona Intego Treatment Centre with a chair-mounted Heliodent X-ray machine as it offers simplicity and practicality and is a cost-effective option for us.
“The installation process was excellent from start to finish, and the project ran on time with no hitches, we are really pleased. We are now able to enjoy a brand-new chair which looks great, and also allows us to take X-rays in the same room, rather than having to move the patient into a different room.
“Matt Rowlingson from Clark Dental was excellent, as were the external contractors we worked with on the project. Communication between everyone involved was outstanding. I would definitely recommend Clark Dental to others looking to undertake a similar project, I couldn’t fault the installation at all.”
