Haleon has appointed Jo Cooper as the new General Manager for the UK and Ireland, effective 1st January 2025.

Cooper brings 10 years’ experience in senior leadership positions across sales and commercial roles in the consumer healthcare industry, with a strong track record in accelerating business growth across several international markets. Prior to her appointment as General Manager (UK&I), she held the position of Head of Commercial Excellence for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America (EMEA&LATAM) regions at Haleon for over three years.

In her role as Head of Commercial Excellence (EMEA&LATAM), she was responsible for revenue growth strategy, category management, shopper marketing, and retail partner leadership across Haleon’s multi-brand portfolio, as well as leading the Global Net Revenue Management Acceleration Programme, working closely with digital and tech teams.

Cooper started her career with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK), joining as Pharmacy & Field Director in 2013. She then went on to hold several positions at the company, including Grocery & Digital commerce Sales Director and Commercial Excellence Director before joining Haleon in 2021 as part of the de-merger.
