Dr Marwa Eltahir, a dentist from Saudi Arabia currently working with Rodericks Dental Partners, was always eager to work in the UK, but wasn’t sure how to bridge the gap between her qualifications and UK registration. She had passed the Licence in Dental Surgery (LDS) part 1, but was eager to start working while completing her studies.
Dr Eltahir answered an advertisement to work with Rodericks Dental Partners as a dental nurse.
“Within three months of interviewing with Rodericks Dental Partners, I relocated to the UK with my twin daughters and husband, and was already working!” she says.
“They are helping with my LDS part 2 and 3 revision costs, making the path to a qualification much more manageable.” Dr Eltahir continues. “For me working as a dental nurse, with fully funded training courses, looked after by very supportive managers, has been the perfect stepping stone.
“This opportunity has been life-changing for me and my family. We’re incredibly grateful, it’s been positive for all of us.”
