Closing summer in style, the inaugural Clover Dental Cricket Match North v South Dentists landed on 13th September as a networking event unlike any other, bringing together dentists from across the country for a day that blended sport with professional growth in effortless form.
The North v South event, which took place in the picturesque Timperley Cricket Club, seamlessly combined the excitement of cricket with networking and educational opportunities for dental professionals across the whole dental team.
As well as the friendly competition – The South took the overall trophy while Man of the Match went to Nihad Vaid and the Cricket Bat Auction was won by Vipin Allen – attendees were also treated to a number of unparalleled educational opportunities away from day-to-day practice life.
Distinguished guests were invited to add depth to the day’s learning experience. Among them was Professor Paul Tipton of Tipton Training and President
of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry, who captivated the audience with a thought-provoking talk on the importance of occlusion.
Meanwhile, taking the networking event to the next level, cricket legends Monty Panesar and Adam Hollioake dropped in to share their sporting-career insights and drew parallels between athletic discipline and the dental profession.
With the combination of expert lectures, celebrity guests, and an exhilarating game of cricket, the Clover Dental Cricket Match North v South was a success, leaving attendees bowled over and eagerly anticipating the next event in the series from Clover Dental.
