Still time to register for IFEA WEC 2024
The IFEA World Endodontic Congress (WEC) will be hosted this September by the British Endodontic Society (BES) at the Scottish Events Campus in Glasgow. The three-day conference anticipates 2000 attending delegates, as endodontists and other dental specialists from Europe and around the world will be gathering together to share in the future of endodontics.
Brand appeal
The conference’s sponsors are united in their belief of the importance of providing high-quality products to enhance precision and confidence in delivering endodontic treatment. The IFEA WEC is proudly supported by a range of companies. The Bronze Sponsors include Edge Endo, Eighteeth, Zumax, Rogin Dental, Meta Biomed and Morita; Silver Sponsors include Coltene, Orodeka and Zarc4Endo, the Gold Sponsor is Woodpecker, and the Platinum Sponsor is Dentsply Sirona.
Dentsply Sirona is the world’s largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, empowering dental professionals across the planet to provide first-class care to patients. Its mission to transform dentistry makes it a perfect match for the IFEA WEC’s own goal of improving oral healthcare.
The WEC offers a trade show that displays the latest products and equipment for great endodontic work. Premier dental brands will be promoting their latest innovations to be tried and tested, showing practitioners the future of endodontic treatments.
The BES will also be exhibiting the benefits of their membership, promoting the importance of their mission to ensure that the dental and general health of the nation is maintained and improved for the future.
Is everybody here?
There will be a multitude of informative, dynamic speakers from all over the world: New Zealand, Thailand, Peru, Jordan, Egypt, South Korea and Canada are just some of the 39 countries being represented by respected speakers, emphasising the importance of worldwide cohesion in dentistry. This will be an enriching experience that will demonstrate the universal challenges in endodontics and the real-world solutions to overcome them, as well as offer opportunities for the future.
For young dentists, the BES is running a parallel Early Careers Group (EGC) programme to educate and encourage new practitioners in their future endeavours. Dipti Mehta, Vice-Chair of EGC, champions the programme and the importance of diversity in the representatives:
“Attending an international congress such as this with the number of speakers and attendees that we’re going to have involved provides a huge opportunity, not only to improve your endodontic knowledge, but also to network on an international level. I feel that this is something that’s critical for the development and enjoyment of endodontics as we progress in our careers.”
The variety of talks guarantees something for everyone. Whether that is learning about the implementation of AI in endodontics (delivered by Dr Frank Setzer and Dr Asma Khan) or being educated on the future trends in biofilm eradication in endodontics (led by Dr Teresa Arias Moliz), the broad array of topics across the three days will have listeners primed to navigate a dental future increasingly defined by technology.
Have fun!
The IFEA WEC 2024 will begin with a reception at the Glasgow Science Centre, one of the biggest attractions in the city. The Congress Dinner will be held at the stunning Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and there will also be a Ceilidh – a traditional Scottish event of music and dancing – held at Merchant Square for an exciting and authentic Scottish experience. Dancing and Scottish attire are not mandatory! A choice of restaurants is included in the ticket price too. Both social events offer a perfect opportunity for attendees to socialise and network with other congress delegates.
For dentists new or experienced with an interest in endodontics, the IFEA WEC 2024 is an unmissable opportunity to find out more about the future; to see the latest technological innovations and to hear from experts about the path forward. Take this opportunity and register for the event to enhance your career.
