A series of master classes on dental photography run by two award-winning lecturers, in collaboration with industry partners Sony, Acteon UK and DB Orthodontics, has kicked off at locations across the UK and will continue throughout the rest of the year.

The ‘Mastering Dental Photography’ series – with dedicated courses for dentists, and dental hygienists and dental therapists – is aimed at both beginners and professionals who undertake or are looking to undertake dental photography within their dental practice. Photography is rising up the agenda for dental healthcare professionals, given the extent of ways it can elevate their practice. Beyond the aesthetics, photography has become an indispensable tool for tracking progress, engaging patients, fostering professional growth, simplifying insurance processes, and strengthening marketing strategies.

The courses are run by Mr. Timothy Zoltie, BA (Hons) PGC ASIS FRPS FIMI, a specialist medical and dental photographer who is Head of Medical and Dental Illustration within the School of Dentistry based at the University of Leeds; and Dr. Shiraz Khan, BSc (Hons) MFDS RCS PGDip, a highly skilled aesthetic and restorative dental surgeon based in private practice at The London Centre of Implant and Aesthetic Dentistry. With 30 years’ combined experience in dental photography, they are experts within their field and will provide valuable insights and insider techniques to help delegates elevate their dental photography abilities and expand their professional repertoire.

All courses are practical, hands on workshops that provide the opportunity to use top of the range Sony mirrorless cameras calibrated for dental photography, and test out the latest retraction and mirror kits from industry partners Acteon UK and DB Orthodontics.

Full Day Course Cost: £395. This includes a free Acteon PureReflect Mirror (worth £90), a free Sony Alpha Dental Photography Guidebook and a free DB Orthodontics Retractor Set (worth £80).
