The Clinical Theatre at BDIA Dental Showcase 2024 offered dental professionals a wealth of dynamic and interactive sessions on various important clinical topics.
Keynote addresses from Gail Vernon, BDIA President; Martin Woodrow, BDA Chief Executive; Jason Wong, Interim Chief Dental Officer; and Ali Sparke, Director of Dentistry, Community, Pharmacy and Optometry for NHS England, set the tone for the high-calibre sessions to come. Attendees then had the chance to explore everything from intraoral scanning and digital dentistry to improving treatment acceptance and sustainability of dentistry, introducing facial aesthetics, 3D printing, restorative dental techniques, endodontics and so much more.
The Big Amalgam Debate was also a hit, with Jason Wong and Chris McConnell, Past President of the BACD, discussing the available research in the field and potential alternatives to the traditional restorative material if it were phased out.
