Team Programme designed just for you at the ADI Team Congress 2022

Dental implantology has evolved significantly in the past couple of decades. Today, the field recognises the importance of so much more than the surgical stages. The delivery of successful treatment often requires a multidisciplinary approach and the very best long-term outcomes are only achievable with the whole dental team on board.
This is something that the ADI acknowledges and looks to promote, providing educational and support opportunities for all professionals involved in the provision and maintenance of dental implants. The ADI Team Congress 2022 will be no different, presenting a dedicated Team Programme for dental hygienists and therapists, dental nurses and practice managers. This exciting day of education has been organised by three members of the ADI DCP Subcommittee – including the previous ADI DCP Representative Julia Wilson, Fiona Sandom and Natasha Donnelly.
Commenting on why she feels this will be such a fantastic event for DCPs involved with implant dentistry to attend, Julia says:
“I think the ADI Team Congress 2022 will be massively exciting to attend, particularly after the chaos caused by Covid recently! I hope we can welcome and engage with more dental hygienists and therapists during this year’s programme, which in unique from previous events in that it is the first to be created by the ADI DCP subcommittee. All the best scripts are written by an ensemble team of script writers, so I thought it would be good to apply the same logic to our event. The 2022 Team Programme is now quite diverse, so I feel there will be something for everyone, with lots of advice and practical information that can certainly be implemented in practice.”
The Team Programme will be presented in an interesting format for 2022, providing a morning for all team members to attend, before splitting into sessions designed specifically for dental hygienists and therapists, and another for dental nurses and practice managers. The programme will conclude by bringing everyone back together for a discussion about skill mix.
Looking at the schedule in more detail, Julia says:
“I am particularly excited that Pravesh Solanki – a truly inspirational speaker – will be opening the Team Programme. This should ensure a lively opening to a long-awaited Team Congress. The afternoon session, which was created by Fiona Sandom, will ignite great debates and will bring all the team together. Natasha Donnelly has also done a fantastic job with the Dental Nurses’ Programme, providing a great line-up of speakers and introducing new professionals like Adele Holland to the podium.”
Like most ADI events, the Team Congress 2022 will provide many opportunities to network and socialise alongside first-class education and learning. The social events include a Congress Drinks in the exhibition hall, as well as the Congress Dinner. This year, the theme is “The Roaring Twenties” for a Great Gatsby-inspired evening at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel.
“The ADI social programme is always an unforgettable and awesome event,” Julia continues. “It is the jewel in the crown and provides a great end to a most wonderful Congress. This year is certainly one not to be missed!”
Clearly, the ADI Team Congress 2022 will offer plenty for all members of the dental implant team to make the most of. The dedicated educational programme and social events will be supported by an extensive trade show with an array of dental implant-related products and innovations on display for all to discover.

“In the world of implant dentistry, which in itself has really become revolutionary over the last few years, it’s crucial that all DCPs play a greater role in this ever-changing field!
