The BACD is delighted to have partnered with the interactive consultation platform, Chairsyde, providing its members with yet another fantastic benefit of joining the Academy. Developed by dentist, for dentists, Chairsyde is an innovative, new technology designed to support the delivery of visual patient consultations, both virtually and face-to-face in person. The BACD’s partnership with Chairsyde means that members can take advantage of an exclusive 20% discount on Chairsyde’s Associate Pro and Practice Pro licence packages, in addition to a dedicated members-only website area.
This additional BACD membership benefit comes at a time when the profession is experiencing a boom in cosmetic dental procedures, with one in ten people having undergone treatment such as veneers, composite bonding or professional tooth whitening in the last year. It is an exciting opportunity for BACD members to benefit from increased demand, utilising modern consultation software that enables dentists to conduct online and in-practice appointments, showcase treatment presentations, and mitigate litigious risks with unique time-stamped tracking.
Partnering with Chairsyde further demonstrates the BACD’s commitment to enhancing membership value year-on-year, whilst upholding its renowned ethos of promoting clinical excellence through the delivery of the latest treatments. In turn, Chairsyde benefits from the chance to collaborate closely with BACD members and utilise their extensive expertise to create bespoke treatment presentations for the platform. This is an element of the BACD partnership that Chairsyde founder, Loven Ganeswaran, has been looking forward to for some time, as he comments:
“Cosmetic dentistry is becoming more popular as patients seize the opportunity to recover at home. We’re so pleased to be partnering with the BACD, an organisation we admire for their commitment to clinical excellence in cosmetic dentistry. We’re excited about collaborating on cosmetic content for BACD members. We can’t wait to see the benefits Chairsyde can bring to its members and improve the patient journey for so many people undertaking cosmetic dental treatments.”
Chairsyde has also recently partnered with Dental Protection to help support its members by taking some of the stress out of patient consultations. Chairsyde is able to record the patient journey right from the first consultation and includes date stamped evidence of visuals shown and information communicated to patients at each appointment as part of the consent process. This provides a significant level of dento-legal protection that BACD members will be able to benefit from too.
Chairsyde’s partnerships with the BACD and Dental Protection are helping the organisation to integrate into the dental community, and make up just one part of its amazing plans for the year ahead. The BACD is proud to be working with Chairsyde to ensure even better value membership both now and in the near future as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
A spokesperson from the BACD says: “This partnership is an exciting opportunity to consider the future of the patient journey and allows us to offer our members the chance to engage and educate their patients safely using fantastic technology.”
