Supporting women in dentistry

Vice Chair of the BACD Membership Committee, Mrs Jayne Sproson, was proud to be part of the team that launched the very first Ladies Who Do Dentistry event at the BACD. She comments:

“I spoke to a huge group of female dentists at last year’s BACD Annual Conference. Together, we all decided it would be a great idea to offer an event that could help improve female membership to the Academy, in order to reflect the growing number of women entering the dental profession.

“We were delighted to be able to offer an event that not only celebrates the differences between male and female dentists, but also provides an insightful platform that can help women progress within their career.

“Ladies Who Do Dentistry was a resounding success and the feedback we have received for it has been excellent. We are hoping to garner even more support for Ladies Who Do Dentistry and we are looking forward to holding the event again in March 2019 in Birmingham.”
