The ADI Team Congress 2019 is shaping up to be a great event, with an outstanding line-up of speakers covering a diverse array of topics. It will offer education, networking and socialising for all the dental team to enjoy, alongside verifiable CPD, Corporate Forums and a major trade exhibition.

Anabell Bologna will be presenting two lectures at the ADI Team Congress 2019. As a dually qualified professional in both dentistry and dental technology, she will be addressing both audiences during the three-day event. Anabell will share her 22 years of clinical experience from Venezuela, focusing on cosmetic dentistry, oral rehabilitation and dental implants. As part of the plenary programme, Anabell will present “New Interdisciplinary Perspectives With All Ceramic Restorations” on Friday 3 May. The session will provide an update on restorative materials and technologies, and highlight the importance of an effective interdisciplinary approach. Anabell says:

“There is a need for synergy among the dental practice and laboratory team. Improving communication between the two can provide better clarification of what is needed and ultimately ensure optimal patient care.

“The interdisciplinary team is very important when looking to achieve the best aesthetic outcomes in all cases. Only with close collaboration between the team can we remain abreast of the latest generation of restorative materials and utilise them correctly. Effective communication also makes it easier to incorporate new CAD/CAM technologies, enabling both practice and laboratory teams to change their protocols and strategies in order to adapt to new ways of working. We all need to be totally up-to-date in order to offer the latest treatment opportunities to our patients.

“The challenge in this is that introducing new technologies and materials can seem like learning a new language. Despite the difficulties we must all get involved and keep up with advancements in order to get the very most from our equipment. This ensures we are employing the best workflows for our patients now and well into the future.”

Anabell will later present to dental technicians, discussing “Converging Digital Dental Technology and Creative Disciplines For Greater Outcomes” in the afternoon on Friday 3 May.

“It’s important to know the analogue processes in order for us to guide the digital workflow and achieve the best possible results,” she explains. “We have to combine our knowledge and artistic skills with the capabilities of the technology we use. As someone with a passion for artistry outside of dentistry – I have many years’ experience in painting and musical studies – I hope to share what I have learnt and highlight the importance of artistic sensitivities in the dental lab.

“Throughout the session, I will emphasise the step-by-step protocols involved with dental implants and restorative dentistry. Even if delegates don’t actually have the technology I’m discussing, they will be able to refresh their knowledge of the analogue processes and understand how they could apply them to digital workflows in the future.

“The goal is to create harmony between conventional and digital approaches so that they complement each other and enable the dental team to deliver the highest quality treatment outcomes.”

Having lectured extensively around the world, especially in Latin America, USA and Spain, Anabell is looking forward to joining the speaker line-up at the ADI Team Congress 2019.

“This will actually be the first time I’m speaking in the UK and I’m very excited about it! With experience in both clinical dentistry and dental technology, I hope to be able to offer delegates some unique perspectives.”

Anabell will be one of many world renowned speakers at the ADI Team Congress 2019, who are travelling from around the world to present a comprehensive programme of lectures.

All delegates – whether dentists, dental technicians, dental nurses, dental hygienists or practice managers – will have an ideal opportunity to develop their knowledge while also networking with like-minded colleagues. There is also the chance to browse the major trade exhibition and to attend the Corporate Forums for all the latest information on new innovations from exhibitors.
