The British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN), the UK’s professional association for dental nurses, is delighted to support the NHS Leadership Academy’s survey into leadership development needs and encourages dental nurses – and other members of the dental team – working in primary care to take part.

The NHS is constantly evolving, and during the coming years some of the widest ranging and important changes will occur in primary care. To meet the needs of a changing population, primary care teams will also need to further develop the way they work.

This will include ensuring those working in primary care are inspired, equipped and supported in leadership roles at all levels, with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours to help them become outstanding inclusive and compassionate leaders; to improve patient care, people’s health and their experiences of the NHS.

Therefore, to understand the leadership development needs of those dentists and dental professionals working in dental practices, the NHS Leadership Academy is undertaking some research.

Dental professionals can share their views and experience by completing the short online survey via the link on the BADN website.
