Young dentists in their first few years after qualification have a lot to learn. The Next Generation Conference, supported by Dental Circle, at the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show 2018 was designed specifically to cater for the void of information not covered at dental school.
Particularly popular were Dr Mishal Sachdev’s session on how to avoid periodontal litigation and Drs Nik and Sanjay Sethi’s passionate joint lecture on anterior resin restorations.
Psychologist Dr Koula Asimakopoulou provided a completely different perspective by considering why patients don’t always do what their dentists tell them and delving into the psychological elements in more detail.
Dr Ole Tuft, a delegate at the event, said:
“This is my first dental show in the UK and I’ve been very impressed. The lecture programme and subject matters have all been very interesting. I would definitely come back.”
