Developed by UK dental practitioners, BACD Accreditation represents a gold standard in clinical excellence that can be attained by UK dentists and dental technicians.
To start, BACD members must submit a clinical case of a smile makeover plus at least one more that meets the set criteria, such as indirect shade matching. Elsewhere, candidates can also participate in activities where they can share their knowledge and experience, contributing to the overall points needed to meet the BACD standard and be invited to the next stage.
The Accreditation process involves a great deal of work that must be delivered to the highest standard. However, the rewards are considerable, such as being able to use the Accreditation Plaque and logo shows patients that they are in the capable hands of a first-class cosmetic dentist. Accredited members are also held in high esteem by other dentists, increasing the chance of referrals or mentorship opportunities.
