Between 20-21 June 2025, Invisalign Live 2025 brought together hundreds of leading dentists, orthodontists, and industry pioneers for a sold-out, two-day celebration of clinical excellence, digital innovation, and professional growth. Held at Convene Sancroft, St Paul’s, London, the event marked a significant milestone – Invisalign’s treatment of over 20 million smiles globally – by honouring people from across the dental community who had contributed to this achievement.

From the moment doors opened, delegates were immersed in a forward-looking environment, exploring the latest developments in the Align™ Digital Platform. The Innovation Hub offered hands-on demonstrations and a glimpse into the future of digitally integrated practices, introduced by Michael Smith, Align’s VP of Product Management and Professional Marketing, during the event’s opening plenary.

Education, Excellence and Empowerment

Across two days, delegates were treated to 11 CPD hours of high-impact plenary lectures, interactive workshops, and peer-led sessions. The agenda featured specialised parallel breakout sessions tailored for orthodontists and general dentists, deep diving into a range of clinical topics including maxillary expansion (Dr. Sandra Tai), class II biomechanics (Dr. Thomas Drechsler), deep-bite management (Dr. Emmanuel Dumu), full-mouth aesthetics (Dr. Meshari Alfouzan and Dr. Nicolo D’Ovidio), and aligner biomechanics (Dr. Stéphane Reinhardt and Dr. Raman Aulakh). Dr. Tai’s presentation “Future Perspective: Embracing the Digital Ecosystem,” which explored the potential of fully integrated digital orthodontic workflows, was highly praised by delegates.

A parallel session empowered dental teams with a fresh approach to marketing strategies and patient experience insights. Highlights included the Premium Invisalign Journey led by Derek Uittenbroek, and an inspiring session on team alignment from Dr. Stéphane Reinhardt.

The event featured a unique educational theatre session or ‘edutainment’. Dentorama was commissioned to create a special production for Invisalign Live called ‘Quick Fix or Grand Design’- led by dentist and Global Dental Collective Founder Dr. Mehy Lo Presti.  The drama brought Align’s Comprehensive Dentistry Guide to life and transformed clinical decision-making into an interactive experience. This innovative format underscored Align’s commitment to curating and delivering dynamic and immersive education.

Following the popularity of the Women in Dentistry session at Invisalign Live last year, this year’s session was elevated to a prominent main stage feature – which provided a platform for sharing experiences about inclusion and celebrated the many voices and accomplishments of women from across the profession. There was also a hint of things to come; including mentoring, presentation and leadership skills training which Align encouraged session delegates to sign up for.

Celebrating 20 Million Smiles with Recognition and Community

Align Technology made a concerted effort to acknowledge every attendee’s role in the shared success of Invisalign reaching 20 million treated smiles. Throughout the venue, personalised touches, including each delegate’s name displayed on a Recognition Wall and a live celebration for more than 25 doctors in the audience with over 20 years of Invisalign experience, highlighted the importance of individual contributions to this historic achievement.

A series of recognition awards were given throughout the event – including a new UKI Women in Dentistry Visionary Award, with the inaugural presentation given to Dr. Sandra Tai for her outstanding contributions to digital orthodontics. Aligner Dental Academy, MiSmile, Avant Garde Dentistry and the Fresh Dental Institute were also recognised on stage for their positive impact on the dental community. Whilst at the Invisalign Live Gala and Awards Dinner, four further doctors were honoured with awards for clinical excellence and leadership.

As well as showcasing the latest technologies, the Innovation Hub at the event also celebrated the power of collaboration, as this also served as a community nucleus where a series of Align’s partners provided one to one guidance about the many ways further support, mentoring, and learning could be accessed.

Commenting on Invisalign Live, Evren Köksal, general manager UK and Ireland said “Invisalign Live 2025 has truly been a remarkable celebration of innovation, collaboration, and clinical excellence. This event has not only showcased the latest advancements in digital orthodontics but also highlighted the dedication and passion of our dental community. We are incredibly proud to have reached the milestone of treating over 20 million smiles globally – it is a testament to the confidence doctors have in the Invisalign brand and Invisalign treatment, and we are grateful for their trust and their choice for transforming smiles. We look forward to continuing this journey with our valued partners and clinicians.”

Invisalign Live 2025 showcased the power of innovation, the value of education, and the strength of a community united in transforming smiles and changing lives. Align Technology reaffirmed its commitment to supporting clinicians at every step of their journey with digital solutions, educational leadership, and meaningful recognition.
