This Learning at Work Week (12-18th May), the mydentist Academy has partnered with Thrive to deliver tech-driven learning through Workday Learning to its 7,000 employees and its network of over 3,000 self-employed dental associates in the UK, strengthening its commitment to creating an environment in which all colleagues and clinicians can flourish.

The online learning system will play a key role when it comes to mydentist’s leadership and management, wellbeing and HR policy initiatives, providing unparalleled learning and development materials that will support colleagues and clinicians working at or with mydentist to discover new training opportunities.

Mydentist will also benefit from access to the Thrive Content’s unique service, designed to close learning content gaps, map content to their goals and spark engagement through campaign-led learning. Thrive’s expert team will support mydentist in creating impactful learning pathways and content strategies aligned to its brand values and initiatives, empowering self-employed dental associates and colleagues to grow in their own time and in their own way.

Marking an exciting new chapter, the partnership supports the mydentist Academy’s vision of delivering world class training for all colleagues and clinicians, further demonstrating mydentist’s commitment to investing in its people and delivering high quality dental care.

The mydentist Academy provides a variety of training programmes, ranging from online and in-person sessions, to the UK’s largest nurse apprenticeship programme, to cosmetic and complex dentistry courses at venues across the country. The Academy also has a state-of-the-art facility in the centre of Manchester, a phantom head room and two training spaces.

Through the new partnership with Thrive, mydentist colleagues and self-employed dental associates will have access to a library of over 2,000 modules, enabling everyone to be curious in their learning and focus on their development, supporting upskilling across the board.

Libby Jones, Chief People Officer at mydentist, commented: “It’s fantastic to partner with Thrive as we continue our journey to make mydentist the best place to work and practice within UK dentistry. Nurturing talent and opening up opportunities to upskill within the UK dental sector is incredibly important to us, and our new partnership, alongside our brilliant Academy, will allow us to offer increased learning and development opportunities across mydentist through a modern, tech-driven platform. I’m looking forward to seeing the partnership come to life over the coming months and with Learning at Work Week now taking place, I am hopeful that this marks an exciting chapter as we continue to support our talented colleagues and clinicians.”

Jayne Owen, Head of Learning and Development at mydentist, added: “Ensuring that all of our colleagues and clinicians have the room to learn, grow and upskill is a key priority for us and our new partnership with Thrive brings together many experts to do just that. I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes us and am confident that through the 2,000+ modules available on Thrive, our colleagues and clinicians will be better placed to discover new skills than ever before.”

Cassie Gasson, Co-CEO of Thrive, added: ‘We’re thrilled to be working with mydentist and so far, the process has been collaborative and exciting. We’re excited to be partnering with such a trail-blazing provider within the dental care sector to elevate the digital learning process for its employees and the self-employed clincians practicing within its network, and look forward to continuing the journey together.”

The partnership follows the launch of mydentist’s new people values: “We respect each other”, “We grow together”, and “We achieve as one”, and is demonstrative of its commitment to further bring these values to life, offering enhanced, digitally driven learning to everyone working or practising within its network. Thrive is the world’s fastest-growing LMS that unites learning, content, communication, and knowledge to accelerate performance and drive business impact.
