Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Broxburn Dental Practice in Broxburn, West Lothian.

Established in 1996, Broxburn Dental Practice is a three-surgery predominantly NHS practice with a growing database of over 10,400 registered patients.

Following a confidential sales process with Joel Mannix at Christie & Co, and with funding sourced through Stephen McConalogue at Christie Finance, the practice has been sold to sisters, Maria Guillermina Landivar Taborga and Vivian Carolina Landivar Taborga, who plan to continue the quality service provided by the practice.

Maria Guillermina Landivar Taborga, new owner at Broxburn Dental Practice, comments, “Carolina and I both grew up, studied, and graduated as dentists in Madrid over 20 years ago. Since then, we have worked as General Dental Practitioners (GDPs) in Madrid and various cities in the UK. We settled and had our families in Edinburgh, where we also pursued several postgraduate studies over the years. We decided to purchase a practice together, feeling it was a natural step in our personal and professional growth. We found Broxburn Dental Practice to be precisely suited to our needs and envisioned it as a good starting point for the practice we wanted to build. Our goal is to help Broxburn Dental Practice grow to its full potential over the coming years, offering a wider range of high-quality services to our diverse patient base.”

Joel Mannix, Head of Dental at Christie & Co, comments, “We were in discussion with the previous owner for a couple of years about his retirement plans and are thrilled to have secured a deal with a great pair of first-time buyers. This is reflective of the current Scottish dental market, where independent operators and first-time buyers are dominating the dental market.”

Stephen McConalogue, Associate Director at Christie Finance, comments, “I was happy to secure the funding for another first-time buyer. The deal had its challenges along the way, but it was very much a team effort with Joel and me to complete the deal. The dental market has remained very strong in 2024 which has allowed many Associates the opportunity to purchase their first practices. With the interest rate dropping again, I can see this continuing into 2025.”

Broxburn Dental Practice was sold for an undisclosed price.
