At a make-or-break moment for the dental profession, the British Dental Association is asking GDPs in England to spell out what they want from NHS dentistry.
As the professional body press for negotiations, they now are seeking vital feedback from the frontline on fundamental questions, on funding, reform, and the very future of the service.
The survey is open here https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/_SavingNHSdentistry/
Shiv Pabary MBE, Chair of the British Dental Association’s General Dental Practice Committee, said: “NHS dentistry is at a breaking point. Contract negotiations are about to begin – and what we fight for depends on you.
“This is your chance to shape the future of our profession. I need to go into the negotiation room with a clear mandate from frontline dentists. Yes, we have heard a lot of talk from Government, but we are making a strong case for urgent action. Please tell us what would make NHS dentistry work for you.
“When I sit down with NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care, I need to bring a clear picture of what dentists expect from a reformed contract.
“Your voice will provide me with the ammunition needed to fight for our future, and for the well-being of our patients.
“I need you to stand with us. Please help us by spreading this message far and wide, forward this email and encourage your colleagues to take part.”
