BRILLIANT Lumina, the new teeth brightening system from COLTENE, offers an alternative treatment for patients who are looking to achieve their dream smile. Eva Fedorowicz, a UK Territory Manager at Coltene, wanted to feel confident in the product she was selling and decided to experience it for herself:
“I had whitening in the past, a long time ago. However, it caused me a lot of sensitivity, which meant that I couldn’t continue with treatment, and didn’t achieve the shade that I hoped for. I simply couldn’t keep up with the whitening applications needed, because the sensitivity was so severe.
“When I heard about BRILLIANT Lumina, and its ability to brighten teeth without causing sensitivity, I was really excited to try it. The treatment was prescribed by my dentist and performed by my dental therapist, Charlotte Parrot. After a discussion with Charlotte, I had expected the results to be one or two shades lighter. In reality, the results were well above my expectations – we achieved two or three shades brighter!
“Charlotte began by cleaning my teeth to remove any plaque, and applying a barrier to my gums. Then, she applied the BRILLIANT Lumina product and left it on for 15 minutes before using suction to remove it. This was repeated three times in the same session, lasting for around an hour in total. The treatment didn’t cause me any discomfort, with the only slight discomfort being that I had to keep my mouth open for a long time, but the retractor did the work for me there, so it didn’t bother me at all. We had music on during the whole process, which was really nice!
“The results were amazing, and I was really happy straight away. Sensitivity was a big concern for me. Because of my past experiences, I never wanted to have whitening treatment again, but the Lumina solution was fantastic, and gave me amazing results without any sensitivity or pain.
“So far, I haven’t needed any further treatments or top-ups. I’m aware that staining can come back over time, due to drinking coffee and tea for example, but I would be really happy to have the BRILLIANT Lumina treatment again in the future if I need it. Compared to other treatment types, it is not expensive, and the results are so quick. I would recommend it to my family and friends!”
