We live in an incredibly exciting age for patient care. New research emerges every day to inform and enhance our practice, and technological advances enable new and inspiring approaches to dentistry. The theory and practice of soft tissue management and grafting is no exception. Selecting the best possible learning experiences with those conducting the research that matters, ensures you are developing the right skills in the right way. These skills translate into excellent care for patients.

The Academy of Soft and Hard Tissue Augmentation (ASHA) is proud to offer an advanced, two-part course: “Soft Tissue Management Around Teeth & Implants” by the internationally-renowned Professor G. Zucchelli and Dr Selvaraj Balaji.

Professor Zucchelli is widely published, and is considered a master in the field of periodontology. Dr Selvaraj Balaji, founder of ASHA, also has extensive experience as a dental surgeon, and has worked for many years in maxillofacial settings in the UK. A group practice owner, he is a passionate advocate and mentor, inspiring implantologists all over the world.

Over four days – held in two two-day events – at the London Marriott Canary Wharf Hotel & Executive Apartments, delegates will benefit from a truly unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of the latest innovations, from some of the greatest minds working in the field today.

Part one, taking place on 15th-16th November 2024, focuses on root coverage procedures for the treatment of single gingival recession. • The mucogingival approach to implant insertion
  • Keratinised tissue augmentation in the peri-implant area
  • Soft tissue augmentation in the edentulous area

Delegates speak very highly of the course as well as the practical application of the knowledge and skills they have gained.

Dr Andrew Smales, a GDP from Portsmouth, joined the course to gain greater expertise in predictable soft tissue management. He says: “The hands-on component, as well as the academic side of the course, was absolutely excellent. I strongly recommend this course for anybody interested in furthering their knowledge in implantology.”

Dr Ayad Haider, practicing in Cambridge adds: “The course is amazing. It’s a must for anyone who wants their implants to last a long time as well as look good.”

Dr Senthil Thaigarajan, an experienced implant dentist from Ipswich, says: “The course has been an absolute game-changer for me in improving my skills with soft tissue management. Now I have the skills to offer my patients the best care without having to refer them.”
